Party leader command: second <target>

When the leader dies, the second takes command. The second may then assign a new second.

Available to Mercenaries, Paladins and Hellions. Maybe Swashbucklers.

I agree. It would be a hard thing to do so only the best and most disciplined warriors should get the skill. They would have to be able to take over in the middle of a fight.

I'd have to say Mercs / Hellions only. Pallies have enough with Call Armor, BoG, Holy word and their other spells. Swashies are more of a light armored tank, not really much as a group leader.

Would fit more with Mercs and Hellions simply because Hellions are sort of like overlords and Mercenaries are born battle leaders with retreat / rescue. Just my 2 cents.

It would make sense for Paladin's to get it as well. If they are accomplished warriors, then shouldn't they be good leaders?
But I think that Kin is right about how swashes shouldn't get it.

I would say that it could be any one and not a trained skill in any way, just a command gseccond (group seccond) <target> it could be any PC. That would make it harder for others to know who is the leader and seccond leader of a group.

Arg. This it too buff. It is a great tactic to try and pick of group leaders and send the rest into utter chaos. If it isn't trained and class specific, it will only do to make fighting much more annoying and make the game less tactical.

i think it should be a command, and the chance to rally after being disbanded would be based on the charisma of the new leader. Having a choice about the new leader would make destroying the leader almost pointless.

One way to do this would allow the leaders attributes to give a boost to everyone in the party's attributes and/or you could have a saving roll for pursuers to destroy the disbanded party.
