Both of these are stellar ideas. My only suggestion would be to either have the midnight rule, or to change it to 20 hours instead of 24. Either way, it is annoying as hell to have to be on at the exact time to reward people, and sometimes it means people who play at certain hours get rewarded less.

I'm with Gremlin it is a real pain to wait until 10:00 at night to have a reward again. I usually wait until later in the day to reward so I don't waste it. ( Granted some may abuse this )

I'd wait a few more months before deciding that we need quotas. Keep in mind that previous sets were much more favorable to the dark, until all the dark side PARs except Naixin deleted.

You come back to my point. This isn't about the Light dominating the flags. This is about either aura being in that position.

I do understand that your concern is aura neutral. However, my point is that quotas are an unnecessary complication. Ever since the change, there have been times when the PAR set leans towards one side or other, and yet well-RPed characters on the other side have always shown up eventually to rebalance the roster. Now these people attained the flag despite being on the 'under-represented' side, which implies that they did get a chance in spite of the PAR distribution. Unrestricted competition seems to be working as it should. So what exactly is the problem that quotas are supposed to solve, which the system doesn't already cover?

That said, what bugs me about that WHO list is that seven paragons are playing at the same hours (nine if you also count Naixin and Gork, since I see them on the morning shift too). If anyone is getting shafted, it's the people who play in under-represented time zones. Unfortunately, I don't think you can code a change to fix this issue.

Another minor potential tweak:

Allow PARs to give out EITHER two small enlightenments, or one medium enlightenment. It always felt like I was, in some small way, punishing others by giving out a small reward.

Giving small reward punishes the next person you want to give a medium reward because of the 'same time next day' paragon system. You may just ignore the small reward candidate and keep on waiting for that medium.
