Try casting cone underwater on something.

This is already in place.

Anyways, I don't think warlocks need yet -another- pk spell in their arsenal. What they do need, however, is a revised DoT for magma cling.

Could you just imagine the cheaterness of this when combined with another cabal spell that stops you from moving? Drain that pe and watch them unable to even word away! Talk about an 'i win' button.

Cone of cold doesn't do anything extra underwater.

Cone of cold isn't ice.

Well, I didn't mean to suggest that enormous blocks of ice were being slung at people...

[Spells help] Damage Spells

Syntax: cast 'cone of cold' <victim>

Cone of cold is another of the elemental spells at the command of a well-
learned warlock. This allows the warlock to channel the cold of elemental
ice at her victim, causing a great deal of pain and damage.

...but I do believe it's clearly correct to term CoC a water-based effect judging by this text, and seeing as how all warlock spells inherently derive from one or more of the traditional "elements." Maybe water + air, given certain interpretations. But definitely water, in any case.

At least back when I had a warlock, it was equal to magma spray under water.

Then again, it wasn't a group spell back then either.

Yes, I would like to see this idea implemented, not causing that great damage itself, but more about the combos it can create with other warlock spells. As about the wind element, I would always rather see the "healing rays" spell transalted to "healing wind" :)

Please don't dare change it to healing winds so I can make a sprite warlock and emote passing gas everytime I cast the spell...please please don't do that.
