Cyra, that's nice that you did but having a priest nearby to help you and using a break in the code doesn't count. Cry more noob.

What mystical *break* in the code is this?

Hi. I am Cyra. I said I wouldn't play anymore, but now I am playing a warlock. Buff them! QQ! QQ!

If I played a mage class, warlock would be the one of my choice. They're fine, even with the new magma spray change.

Despite the fact Cyra earns the scorn from the entire 'community' this is gameplay so let's at least tone it down some and stick to the thread. You needn't post in it if you have nothing constructive to say.

Only thing I would have changed was to make the sticky damage ignore MP, but be severely impacted by RE as it is now.

That's after over 600 hours logged as one post change.

Well, that and make it so that the counter for the 'elemental timer' keep ticking while you are dead. Popping up a new sparky, then dying two minutes later because of something, then when you get a ress after 30 minutes of incompetent RP with someone, now you have to wait another 30 minutes for you elemental.

Or get bashed while conjuring your new elemental since the lag time on it is horrible.

Wasn't that awesome when it happened to you, Fepel? A shame you can't have a pet and an elemental at the same time.

I think a pet and an elemental at the same time would be a bit unbalancing, honestly. Charms/controls you have to hold and pay concentration and mana costs. Elementals are a one time thing for 32 minutes (at GM) of flaming ball of rawr. To be immune to backstab 2nd rank, or stuck 3rd rank beyond reaching weapons "All the time" would be inappropriate.

Yes I got bashed mid conjure, yes it was bad timing. Blame Sadal.

You're not immune to backstab because there are quite a few weapons out there that completely bypass stone skin and can used with a backstab/ circle stab.

with a pet and an elemental you'd be immune to backstabs 100% of the time.

You don't need a pet and an elemental. I went on a wrecking killing spree with a warlock with just my elemental and I tore everyone a new one constantly. And I did almost nothing but solo pk against groups.

Every single class has glaring weaknesses that can be exploited, warlocks just have one that really stands out, backstab with a ss breaker...thats it. That's really all you have to watch out for or complain about.

SS is still damn good, most people actually don't use SS breakers. Only a few do. Heck, most people use things ironguard blocks. You're immune to 80% of the weapons in the game, congratulations, and you have another spell that makes you unable to be hit for the first 12-16 attacks of the ones you aren't immune to. SS breakers don't grow on trees. Most of the SS breakers that exist don't reach, the others you have to specifically be a rogue for you to be hit by them.

Rogus are pretty much your only class you, as a warlock, will have to look out for and if you can't figure out how to use wands to get around all that, then I feel sorry for you. You know the game mechanics ardith, you're not stupid. Run around with an ethereal wand all the time, and if you're getting pummeled, zap it, it's really that simple. How many rogues are there now a days any way? Almost none. Besides, invite one person in your group to stand behind you, rogue problem easily solved.

You just started playing the class; spend some time with it and you'll learn that it's quite easy to be rediculously immune to everything on the planet if you're careful and keep your head in pk.

Elemental spells need to heal the appropriately typed elementals. Fireball and earthquake would be much more useful if they healed instead of hurt fire/earth elementals.

fire elementals are already immune to fireballs, having fireballs actually heal fire elementals would be horrendously overpowering and unbalancing, hell, I'd delete right now and make a warlock if they did that.

And I'm not really sure what to make of earthquake, and I can't think of why an earthquake would heal an earth elemental.
