Skill tree dont have to be so hard and complicated... simple [REDACTED] like what I suggested not to long ago with warlocks... Exchanging the magma spray and cone of cold... And instead of a burn effect you get from magma you would get a freeze effect... and exchange fire with ice elementals...

Hmm.... Fire benders of the Empire! Now we just need a comet.

I don't think restricting the # of languages would help the mud. However, restricting how many skills you have at superior or mastered level would.

By restricting the amount of skills at superior or mastered level intellegence would be a more needed stat and would lead to variety and specilization of charectors.
