Okay. Yana, you've left and come back to the forums a few times..and each time...my opinion of you worsens just a little bit. This is a RP with PK mud. At least, it's advertised that way. So applying penalties to PKers isn't a good idea. If you want to make a time penalty for logout, that's one thing - I still don't like that idea by the way, but I COULD see reasoning for it. But applying an hour-long dead time to people who die is insane. Imagine corpse retrieval missions, trips to the wasteland. Accidental training mishaps. Failed sorc charm experiences. That would drive a lot of people from this game, and you failed to consider that.

Not only that, but it'll give people the notion that it's better to quit/log off or run and hide and avoid PK, especially in the CRS scenarios and those big city fights. There are currently situations from an RP standpoint that encourage people to fight battles they can't win. They know they're going to lose, but if I have to spend a crap load of time in the afterlife because I died, I'm not going to do that. I don't play SK to sit in a handful of rooms and chill as a spirit.

I'm going to have to put this idea into the garbage bin. Sorry Yana.

Nope just post things that cross my mind. Somewhere here I posted that the hour thing would punish the innocents. The other part was to put some kind of cumulative penalty to pk, more people you gack the larger the penalties get. In an attempt to think of some way to be able to speak my mind, even when not being rude, and not getting a gack junk loot, or have some random jackass A come by and gank me because I am there. Maybe giving the PKer a penatly of some sort would stay some peoples hands resulting in more stunning and less gacking, I read all these logs of Othet getting gacked...endlessly I have to give props to him for going on. Killing someone may turn out to be needed, but is the penalty worth the kill? Maybe a nice stun and weapon steal could be used instead? I never go away, I always lurk.

It was one thought and all sentances pertained to the thought, last I remeber that was a paragraph, and I may have forgot my double space after the periods.

Really, if you want to [REDACTED] take it to gd, otherwise why waste the bandwith over stupid [REDACTED]?

There is already a penalty involved with pk'ing people, its having to rp with their ghosts or them at some point afterwards and the WORST penalty of all...trying to decide what to do with all their lewt.

I mean, my god, you kill someone with a bunch of lewt and then you have to sort through it and stare at it, and get it ID'd and then brag to people about the crap you got and then you got to find people to give the spare crap away too or shops that will buy it. And you got to plan on how to use the vials and herbs, and staves and such..

All a big headache, I don't even know why I bother pk'ing sometimes.

I always double space after my periods (full-stops for you non-American subhumans); the forum eliminates the double space.
