Shamans don't get poison or plague, and only get a whopping 2 more art than hellions.

With concentration as charm person, this spell would be useless... As a maledictation, it would be nice...

It would be an I -win- against casters, and a stave/scroll/wand of it would be devastating if in the right hands.

Concentration of charm person isn't too much to ask, especially if you could embue it upon weapons such as you can with curse/deafness/et cetera. Perhaps in the style of maledictions, concentration of charm person to *cast* but no upkeep... make it a timed duration.

Well Ardith, whenever you cast a spell you need to have X amount of concentration available to you in addition to the mana costs to do so. Concentration is directly related to your intelligence, and is also impacted by things such as number of foes in combat with, heavy damage instances such as bashing, cleaving, hellfire, et cetera.

For held spells, it continues to use said amount of concentration, for one shot kind of things you need to have the concentration available and it frees up after the invocation has been brought forth.

Concentration is also impacted by your status, whether sleeping, standing, sitting, or resting.

Okay, this is the reason I said it was overpowering.
Assume all of these are cast (whether on weapon or otherwise)at once (and succeed).
Poison, lowers strength
Chill touch, lowers strength again.
Weaken, lowers strength even more.
plague, lowers dex.
blindness, lowers hit rate dramatically
Now, add to that slow, which drops attack speed considerably. That limits the hellions opponents to what, 1 attack of negligible damage - IF it hits?

I don't like this - but if it did, that'd be a huge argument for paladins to get haste.

Hm. I disagree. Paladins get sanc and cures. That should be enough for them.

I think people seriously underestimate sanctuary here on SK.

I thought feeblemind pretty much did this anyways (at least thats what I get from the helpfiles). Is it even possible for a Paladin or a Priest to cast holy word or Bolt of Glory if they are affected by feeblemind?

No, but they can still use cure light/serious. Silence would completely shut someone up. No spellcasting.

Ahhh Fepel... I agree with that... I thought you wanted it to have concentration upkeep... Like a charm person spell...
