Regardless of the aforementioned psionocist RP, the astral boards don't fit SK and should be removed and supplanted by the various kingdom boards.

That's certainly your opinion, but not a fact.

I don't get what is 'futuristic' about them... you accept flying, spells, invisibility, telerporting, summoning people, fireballs from the palm, other-worldly planes of existence, reincarnation, but you don't accept that there is a system to post a note for everyone to read...?

They look like little futuristic crystal balls.

At least, that's the impression I got.

Plus, it reminds people of the internet. Information, regardless of magic, shouldn't be so easily to obtain in a 'fantasy' realm.

You mean like the crystal balls that gypsies use to tell the future?

Or the crystal balls shaman can use in the game to see certain things.

I don't get whats futuristic about it either. It's friggen magic glass, there's tons of it in the game.

Since there are pairs of gloves made out of glass in the game, I can see how magic balls would be around.

:-?

An excerpt from the hidden lore of Shattered Kingdoms:

The magic gloves where left over from the tale of Cinderella. Upon the bell tower striking midnight on New-Year's, a heavily intoxicated Cinderella backhanded the local bartender making a pass at her, shattering her glass glove into the side of his face. Enraged at having his boyish good looks forever tarnished by the shards of glass embedded in his cheek and brow, the bartender retrieved his trusty meat cleaver, and hacked off the arm of the fair Cinderella.

Still suffering from the festive evening, Cinderella laughed in glee until she realized that the liquid pumping out of her wasn't actually her favorite mixture of rum and Coke, (though the ratio had shifted closer throughout the evening.) Shocked into hysterics, Cinderella fled from the Teronian inn, leaving behind her amputated arm... and the remaining glove.

Legends tell that whoever the glove so perfectly fits will have their fate forever intertwined with the bartender of lore. Specifically, he will appear in a blaze of glory, take a knee to the ground, and stab you right in the gut. (The knee is for extra stability.)

Heh. I don't think anyone from Teron ever cared to have one put in.
Isn't there one in the roaring lion? I think there was...
