I have no clue if this annoys the crap out of anyone else, but the astral boards...while great and all. Can we have those auto delete like once a month? Some of the messages are over fourty years old icly.

This is a feature that's probably neeeded for every board. Perhaps an auto archive of messages after a certain number of years. Not sure when I'd get around to adding this as a feature though.

Actually, Dulrik, if you wanted to the archive route A great idea would be to have to acess messages over 10 years old in a library. That would kick [REDACTED]. Maybe you could spruce up a librarian NPC to show the old messages like a shop keeper lists items. That would really be elite.

Old notes are intresting to see how the realms have changed over the years..

I hate to say this. For many reasons.

But if I had a quick way of working how old a message was IRL, I'd probably look at these boards more often.

Yea I think it's good for anyone, new or old.. to have access to that, it's more than likely good reference. Might help influence someone's RP out as well, as a librarian/historian, maybe they could create a better role than that later.

Certain things should stay, kind of like stickies on a forum. You know, if there's a public announcement of the new law, etc. The marfik message on all the boards totally needs to be gone, though. It's older than OVT's newest PK logs.

I would suggest not to change the cabal boards. There's important messages on there from characters long ago that say stuff that still applies..

I like having a good range of astral board messages. It's a great way for younger characters, who don't know much ICly, to learn of the lands. And for newbies, they're invaluable.

I'd agree to killing things over 50 IC years old, though. Surely after a RL year, we don't need to hear about the strawberry festival or whatever. Anything worth keeping longer can be copied and reposted.
