How helpful are the mini-quests... from NPCs?

If you're referring to what are quests in the newb-zones, quite. I'd wait until you're at least ready to advance to level 6 (Novice 1) before doing them. That is to stay, when you're at level 5 Amateur and ready to advance, go do the quests.

I know Dulrik doesn't like us using the status ranking system to refer to this, but you'd be able to see anyway by going to a healer typing 'heal' and seeing how much money you're charged for 'heal poison'. The amount corresponds to your current level.

As for other quests, unless they bring you some kind of serious advantage at the time (Merc/Rogue guild, for example) it's best to save all quests for when you're about Champion, that way you can quest to GM status.

Wanna do them for the RP that's cool too.

I really wouldn't worry about doing the newbie quests at some specific time. Experience isn't so valuable at that level that you need to twink.

These quests aren't required by any means: the typical quest just gives some experience, and perhaps a nice little item. But they provide some variety from "kill NPC", and several of them help you explore areas you should become familiar with. (You really want to be able to find the inn and essential shops in your capital city, for example.)

I was just wondering, I assume almost every npc that says they need something or need an errand ran, would be benificiary to do for them.

Not every NPC has such quests, there are a few dotted around, and they're almost universally worth doing at some point or other. Although it's frequently better to save them until later on when easy experience is harder to get. It's up to you, the quests in your own newbie zone are very useful for helping you get an idea of the starting city. Explore, find stuff, talk to people.
