Pfft. Fepel's only suggesting a long range cabal spell.

No, it's a mix of that, and hamstring, but you could do some serious localized damage with it. Don't want them to run away, shoot them in the leg a few times. Works well even without an ambush, but an ambush would most definetly sever a limb with a good enough shot. That and a simple cure light won't repair it. ;)

So what is it? A ranged cleave? No matter how you slice it, it still seems inoriginal to me - why have a skill on a hellion that can be duplicated by another class at range? Why have a cabal spell that can be performed better by a standalone class AT RANGE?

A hellion can cleave you in two and you die. A scout would get a small increase in damage and just be able to localize it. Cleaves aren't designed to disable limbs, they are designed to kill you or help kill you as quickly as possible.

The cabal skill in question can be used to totally disable and screw people over no matter what your class. This would require you to get the absolute "jump" on the person as a scout. It does not duplicate it in any means, and the reduction in accuracy will cause a lot of misses, and doing it from a great distance *read a room away or more* the accuracy would decrease even further. The ambush trick shot off the tree, through the bend in the branch, off the castle wall and into the person's left arm, cutting it off, would be a rarity indeed.

What is it? It's a called shot, duh.

Do you even understand how to utilize ranged combat, Fepel? The people you need to shoot aren't going to give a damn about a mangled limb.

Guess I don't evidently, but I would think that a person with one less leg wouldn't get away so quickly, or one less arm in combat.

I saw it possibly as this. Snipe in the leg, move in, order all bash X, while firing at their weapon arm to try to disable it.

Evidently I don't know jack or poop.

I'm just glad that it was other people who pointed out that this stupid idea was simply the oppressed dream of fepel to have a member of juggy and nothing really worth for the game.

I'd build a scout just to snipe you Juggy. Get two legs, two arms, and a head and get Youma to make a life sized voodoo doll with a dismembered jackass from Teron as the torso. ;)

Too bad I'd have to spam gank your scout with voodoo so with 6xSD you wouldn't be much of a trouble. And once SD wore off, I'd just repeat the process. :P

You used ranged combat against casters. Casters fly, so missing legs doesn't affect them. They cast spells, so missing arms isn't really a problem. If you shoot a merc with a bow, he'll walk up to you and stab you in the face, forcing a word. If you shoot a barb, he'll walk up to you, stab you in face, and force a word. If you shoot a rogue, he'll hide, sneak, backstab you from behind a pet, forcing a word. Or just petrify your pet and o all bash if you can detect hidden.
