IDEA:

There should be groups we can belong to so we can select if we want to see General Discussion or skip it completely.

That way people who get easily offended and their skin isn't as thick, can bypass it as the nospam command in SK, or the ignore command in Irc.

I didn't comment the first time I read your silly post in General Discussion. This thread here has nothing to do with Gameplay, should either be deleted or locked, and you need to go away you racist, cliqueish piece of [REDACTED].

That, and you do have the option to ignore General Discussion. It's called not clicking on the forum, or even not logging in.

And the world at large would prefer that you simply don't click on a subsection when you know it bothers you, and proclaims that it is likely to do so.

Basically, you're asking for people to put forth the effort to make up for the fact that you can't or refuse to read a description of a sub-section and stay away accordingly.

Lucky nobody cares about making life all nice and cushioned for you then. Maybe you should just take some of the advice you espouse and stop using the forums altogether - they're far better without you.
