Ok, I was just attacked and killed at the Crossroads in in Teron by a lithe male half-elf named OMNN. He is obviously twice as powerful as me as he struck me with lightning, released all my spells and killed me in 2 rounds. I manifested myself and ask "What the hell???". He said "Oh, I am a heartless killer and didnt like the looks of you."
I cursed at him oocly and asked what kind of RP was that. He said it was perfectly fine as his character is a miscreant and heartless killer. He then had his priest friend Rez me and I got all my [REDACTED] back, no xp lost, but what kind of deal is that???
Can I just walk up to some PC, see thier a few levels behind me and cause serious till they collapse, claim my char is Diabolic and is a ruthless killer? With that in mind I could leave them to float in the River! Oh boy, the kinda XP I could rack up!!!

He should get cursed for that.

Two things.

1. You don't get exp for killing people.

2. Is it just me or does him killing then getting you rezzed seem a bit, well, screwed up?

My thoughts exactly. Maybe the fact that the priest was there to Rezz me lead him to believe that he could kill me with no retribution, but that is so freakin ooc to think. How would his character know that his friend Elspeth would rezz me just because he had a psycotic whim? I think the religion of Archernar should look seriously at this OMNN. If you read the help file on Miscreant you see that they dont kill for no reason! Maybe Diabolic, but you dont see me preying on the weak.

I play Maloorus as well as the Knight Voor. I spent several days in jail in Zhensh with Omnn and he never decided I was a psycotic whim then, so Omnn, I ask you, again "What the Hell???"

Now, if Im just whinning over something thats expected here on SK, let me know and Ill shut up, gladly.

Did he actually say "I am a heartless killer"? If so, thats pretty funny...

One should try to RP before the kill too, especially if he had never met the character. But if he RPed some with your ghost (and if you were the first to go OOC), then I wouldn't say its curseable, just non-desirable.

The rez afterwards makes it sound like he realized you might go the IMMs over the incident and wanted to cover his tracks a bit. What just happened to you sounds like complete crap to me.

Yes, I was the first to go ooc after the fact. I also talked to him IC to which he shrugged at me and said, "I'm a heartless killer." My char swore revenge and Omnn left. He ooc told me first "Dude, I totally owned you, you had nowhere to run." Which I dont find very funny! I've been killed with no RP (or rather with a snarl before attacking) before, and I'm getting sick of it. I came here to RP, not own those weaker than me.

Anyone can make a character and claim he's a mass murderer. It might be in character if he murdered Voor in jail, or murdered Elspeth on the road but oocly he had Elspeth rezz me. I just think oocly he's a little weasel looking for attention. So much for good RP on SK.

Sadly, there's always going to be people out there who get a power trip out of killing/griefing those much lower in level. It's hard to police all occasions of this, but rest assured that these people do get found out and, to put it frankly, "[REDACTED] over" relatively quickly.

Your experience is something that happens but is hardly the mainstream for SK. I hope that you manage to look beyond the occasional mishap and to the larger environment and experience that exists in the game.

The problem is the better you make a game the more it attracts people and a percentage of those people are for want of a better word arseholes.

A lot of people do not realise the difference between being evil and RP evil. RPed evil will often make mistakes to gloat over people when they have a victory. In the same way RP good will often let someone evil escape because they have more important good things to like rezing people.

Another issue is playing an evil char you will find it harder to make friends because evil doesnt always help other evil. Good most of the time will help other good.

Personally when ever I fight a lowbis I make sure there is an escape for them.

Just thought I'd point that out.
