Something I've always wanted to do: Priests can't resurrect people who are of opposed alignment to their god or that follow a god who is of an opposed alignment to their god. Why? Because your god knows the heart of a soul in the river and denies use of resurrection to those who would are opposed to him. Never done that because it used to be too hard to get a resurrection. These days though it sounds too easy, so perhaps the time has come.
As always, I still think this is a horrible idea.
I fail to understand why, exactly, it "should" be difficult to get back to life?
The game has been designed with immortal-built death-traps everywhere all throughout the gameworld. The game has now been hard-coded with capture-the-flag, uber-guardian NPCs, death-squad hunting NPCs to encourage the wholesale slaughter of player characters. The game's atmosphere and players support a playing field that supports and encourages constant PvP PK interaction with an occasional suggestion of RP thrown into the mix.
In short... everything about SK drives the game toward killing its players' characters. Until that changes, I fail to understand how making it harder to get back to life adds any value to the gaming experience here.
