It's something like Barbarians don't have the necessary discipline. And I don't believe that Wild Fighting stacks with a certain Fist skill, in any case.

All I'm mainly refering to is that Wild Fighting is bare handed or with claws and the Fists Martial arts would seemingly add to that.

I also know the reasoning about discipline aspect, but here again if you hold true to this, then perhaps a barbarian shouldn't be allowed in the Faith of Dulrik either. Truth, Honor & Discipline. :P Which the Discipline aspect is something I rp as a tough aspect.

I think a few exceptional Barbarians might do OK in Fist, but in Dulrik, I never thought them a good match.

Anyway, I think a Fist Barb -would- get all benefits, making him completely broken.

Which is all the reason in the world why the dumb no-barbarian-fisties rule should be removed.

Barbs would get something crazy like 16 hits per round (hasted) and would destory any class in game.

You can only get a max of six attacks as a fist, no matter what the class. The point would be the added dmg and accuracy of wild-fighting, if it wsan't the same exact skill as jujitsu now.

As Sadr said, the mechanics are no longer an issue. The point is that everything about the Fist is the exact opposite of a Barbarian. The Fist has an extremely disciplined technique-oriented fighting style, the Barbarian relies on rage and an anything goes approach. Fists are meditative and use their abilities as a last resort, the Barbarian enjoys fighting and probably uses it to assert pack-like dominance.

Yet, you still have all these people who complain that they should still be able to make a Fist Barb and if the mechanics are not a problem, why not let you? No. This is the same as people who want to change their alignment during the course of the game - you made your choice when you made the character. If you were the kind of character who would be interested in or a good candidate for the Fist, you would no longer be the kind of character that defines "Barbarian".

Besides griffon barbs would roxor the fist. Just like griffon mercs used to.
