Well, as someone who has personally died and made it back to the land of the living for the first time, I'd like to personally thank Safia and everyone else who helped me (including the unnamed immortal who heard my prayer and got me on the right track).

It's a pain to have to redo an entire level from scratch, but you learn more from your mistakes than when everything is going swimmingly for you.

Glad I could help, and dont forget to ask the person who gave you life to help you get your items back. Most people don't think to ask that. Most Priests/Priestess should also ask if you need any further aid, as we are servants.

Priests are servants to their gods, not to mortals. Though being a helpful healer is certainly appreciated especially dealing with newbies.

And congrats to you baldwama, knowing how to get a rez and where will be the most important thing to know in sk. Because -everyone- dies and needs a rez.

I would consider a ressurection and a gate to send the ressurected on their target mandatory.

Some healing too if he is hurt would greatly work...

-IF- the priest has no other obligations and the corpse is in a place he can reach, then i do consider the priest helping retrieve items.

I would go to such lengths for a member of my religion, an IC friend or a lowbie-newbie... But it all depends on RP and good will, as well as availability.

Priests are NOT servants to every single person who asks them something. RP IS involved and REQUIRED. Other than that, it all lays to the priest's good will.

All I needed was a lighted item to guide my steps. My corpse was close by and still unmolested. With appropriate RP Safia gave me what I needed. I'm afraid I was a little scattered worrying about someone else finding my corpse and looting it, or a NPC eating it up before I could get there.

Learning how to get rezzed is the most important skill in SK. 8)

If everytime I rezzed someoen they asked me for healing and a gate like it was -mandatory- i'd have to ask an IMM to remove that spell from me. From that point on if you wanted life, I could do it via raise dead, and poof, you wouldn't need a gate anymore - with the cost of some xp.

There is big lack of respect in SK for the resurrection spell. Its good to see someone treating of what it is. One of the greatest blessings you will ever be given.
