I've noticed that all scripts for obtaining symbols have been removed. This is a highly unreasonable step to take. It is unbalanced.

Why should a lvl 30 paladin have a vast mass of requestable symbols, yet a lvl 40 hellion should have to go and beat up a NPC to get one? The scripts were there to make it reasonably easy to get a symbol in the absence of a high priest being about. I've asked my own HP for a symbol 4 or 5 times and not recieved one.

I was also told this discussion has been had before, but it's not on any of the forums I've got access to. So how about it? No temple scripts is unbalanced in favour of lighties, greys and darkies lose out.

Either put back the scripts or remove all requestable symbols. Which is harder work?

I believe the idea was to make it so that each member had to approach their HF each time they wanted a new symbol, to promote RP or something.

As stated previously, any favored priest can create symbols. This is not the same position as the high follower - there can be any number of favored priests in the religion. It IS the responsibility of the high priest to make sure there are priests given the favor to create symbols (as well as tend to the other spiritual needs of the flock). If there isn't such people currently in your religion, pressure your HF to have one or more flagged.

The high priest just needs to be carefull, becuase they cant blemish the 'favored' priests. F3's are just not that much more spiffy then the F2's.

But honestly there should be atleast 2 people that can make symbols in any faith. If you cant trust someone to live up to the faith to make them F2... then perhaps they need to be flogged until you can.

As for darkies and greys haveing to kill to get theirs... well... No one said it was easy to be evil ;-)

I think P-wn once said that useless priest shop in Exile should sell symbols to people. He's right, it should.

'Nuff said.

Note that this means "pressure your HF to petition the God/dess to bless more people with favor." HFs can't directly elevate followers to favored status.

Another approach (for a priest) would be to petition the God/dess yourself for favor.

There are some imms who've said in their forums that they pretty much don't give a crap about character's opinions. They'll grant favor to who the heck the WANT to grant favor to.

Basically what's being said now is, if you don't play in peak hours and you aren't a favored priest, you're screwed out of a religious symbol. Leet.
