My client is giving me issues with inputing numbers. I am trying to add colors to my title, but somehow the numbers are being ignored. I can't find anywhere in my settings to have this not work?

I'm using fireclient btw.

Look for some kind of "Don't parse" or "send directly to world" sort of option. It's probably the $s that are giving you trouble.

Is there a URL for that client? Maybe post in their support area asking them about the dollar sign ($) - sounds like that client might be treating it as a special character in some way, as grep said.

Well, two weeks ago it wasn't. It seems to only be doing this with my one character. Otherwise, it doesn't do that. I'm using another client (although I don't like the coloring of it, so i am only using it to change the colors of my title) so it's not really an issue anymore. I'm not really sure that they are using the forums anymore, because you can't post or even view most of them unless you are a moderator. I had to piggy back onto someone else's thread about something else.

Ok I am having an issue also with mushclient. On GMUD there was a way to set a key or a command to stop overflow spam. Such as I would be spam bash bash bash bash and the fight was over or I need to stop doing that I would hit XX and it would clear all commands that were lined up to go into the game. How do I change that setting on Mushclient?

I would LOVE to know how to fix this!!! Casting spirit horde after the battle is over is just so embarrassing.

afaik the only way to deal with that on MUSHclient is to disconnect yourself from the game and instantly reconnect. That will clear you buffer. I am not especially computer literate, though, so maybe one of the wizkids like Rodwen and Grep know another way of doing it.

If you send commands to the game, they go into a buffer on SK's computer. There is no way to clear that buffer. Dulrik has said that clearing that buffer would require a lot of code. A 'abort' command is still a long way off. This is why Edoras recommended to me I only queue up one command at a time, just enough to eliminate dead pulses during a fight, and I've found that's usually the best thing we can do.

Yeah, there's no way to clear your buffer without disconnecting and reconnecting (Something I wouldn't advise during any sort of combat, one time I did that and auto-fled into a dragon).

The best way is to just try not to spam cast spells, which can be hard to do sometimes when the pressure's on, but that's what makes SK fun!

well, I guess late casts of horde are better than what I also get to see often enough: "You can't do that - you're dead!"
