Hello, I don't usually ask for help with computer things, but I'm stumped on this one. I was hoping to get a mud client for my blackberry so I could play sk anywhere. Anyone know where I could get something like that? I can't find anything. |

One of your BEST options is to run an ssh daemon on your home computer and use a command-line mud client. That's how I can SK on my iphone. |

I actually should have posted this in the clients section I guess. I actually forgot it existed when I was typing this. If an imm can move this there, that'd be good. |

Moved to clients section. There are also a few early MUD clients on iPhone, but I haven't tried downloading any of them. In my view, it is pretty much impossible to actually play the game via any phone keyboard. Maybe if you could connect a bluetooth keyboard to your phone though. That's not to say I don't have some ideas for making SK somewhat more accessible while mobile, but you'd need a lot of custom shortcuts. |

I know I've had my eyes on one of these Virtual Laser Keyboards, might be just what the mobile-MUDer would need. |

I had a 3rd party application on my Blackberry Tour for a long time that worked for Shattered Kingdoms really, really well. It was called MidPsh or something weird like that. It took a bit to get it set up and working well, but once all the setting were just right I loved it. I don't believe it had trigger, alias or macro settings or anything sweet like that, but it supported color and other cool features. I'd say it was better than telnet by far, but not quite as good as my Gmud, lol. I never really had a huge problem with my typing when I had my Blackberry Tour. The Bold would probably have been a bit bigger and may have improved my typing a lot, but I loved it. Granted MidPssh didn't support that "up arrow" feature that most MuD clients have, so you can't cycle through your previous commands. However, with MidPssh, I learned how to type the right command the right way the first time, lol! If you google Blackberry telnet clients, you'll find it before too long. EDIT: Actually....here you go. It worked quite well, although I don't know what kind of Blackberry you have. http://www.xk72.com/midpssh/ |

I love you. You have half-fulfilled a fantasy of mine. I would be yours truly if you could link me to a decent HUD. |

Look up Retinal Imaging Display (RID) by end of 2011 there should be goggles that lets you have a decent HUD for a decent price. http://www.brother.com/en/news/2009/rid/index.htm |
