The City of Exile

yyyr#ryyy continuing on its way southeast. It's cloudy, very hot, and

You need to specify an adjective as well.

You utter the words, 'sarlzaksp'.
You release all your spells.
You plummet to your death!
Your equipment is scattered beyond retrieval.
You lose your concentration on fly.
You slowly float to the ground.
You have been KILLED!!

You polymorph into a dragon.

Alright somethings wrong with that....

Definitely... but the only thing wrong is that you still polymorphed even though you were dead.

When you polymorph, you release all spells that you held previously. Which has always seemed silly to me, and has gotten me into a fair number of hazardous situations.

Thus, in the time period after you released your spells and before you turned into a dragon, you fell to your untimely demise.

You turning into a dragon after being dead however, is definitely a bug ;)

Does the dragon innately fly? Perhaps making the polymorph take affect before auto-releasing the spells would prevent a difficulty in this case.

Spells have to be released before polymorphing. Too many things can go wrong that might permanently damage your character otherwise.

dragons DO fly, problem is when polymorphing, you dont auto fly. You have to polymorth, then type fly. Admitedly it seems that to turn into a griffon/sprite/dragon/whateverflies that you would start flying, but this is not the case. Sux, huh?

So the trick is not to cast polymorph when flying over a city ... 8)
