Code:
Illana trips you and you go down!
Your armor protects you from any falling damage.

[ 89] [ 31] [ 66] -=7am=- 1 gold, 4 silver
You need to regain your feet first.

Illana's shield blocks your attack.
Illana's shocking bite barely burns your chest.
Illana's shocking bite lightly burns your chest.

Illana's shocking bite lightly burns your chest.
Overall, Illana has some small wounds and bruises.

[ 85] [ 31] [ 66] -=7am=- 1 gold, 4 silver
wield sword
The Sword of the Heavens hums as you spin it through a complex technique - it
seems as if the sword is becoming accustomed to you. Three days spent with the
blade just might give you mastery over it.
You wield The Sword of the Heavens in your hand.

Not sure if it is a bug, gut tells me it is. It's only in the syntax, though. You have to type in wield, versus wear, or hold.

I always felt like that was a perk to wielding, but I suppose it could be a bug. Personally it seems like if I have a weapon in my inventory, I should be able to put it in my hands even when prone.

Besides, bash/trip don't need more buffs, am I right?

It's more of a nerf to disarm, essentially making it useless if it doesn't knock it to the ground.

Definitely a nerf, but even if it just puts it in their inventory it does something. There's still wielding lag, and the fact that if the other person is already using a skill and in skill lag that it will take a while to get their weapon wielded again. Given that disarming a weapon to the ground is so broken anyway since you can't pick up items in combat anymore, I don't see a problem with that.
