The Magistrate's Office
  You have entered the office of the imperial magistrate of Menegroth.
Every month, the nobles of the city take turns passing judgement on the
commoners of Menegroth, helping them settle their disputes.  It is tiresome
for the appointed magistrate, but such are the burdens of the wealthy.  A
large desk with a small silver scale, several quill pens, and a stack of
parchments are here - it all makes you feel a bit smaller than usual.

The giant was in my party before, the NPC, I recalled and he walked back to his spot and now I can't recruit him. Dedhorobrog isn't even in the room and when I try and recruit the giant it goes for dedhorobrog. Eh? I'm stumped.

This time I tried recruiting a giant that isn't even in the legions.

Try order giant disband or leave first since some guards come already in a party.

Also you will invite (recruit) giants on the who list with the change to astral summon and group summon code. Try to recruit him via his legionnaire title.

What Trag said. Had the same thing happen to me when I was a Talon. Just gotta work around it

I got it to work myself last night, I had to order him to leave and I had to be vis and all that. I just don't know why I end up inviting people not in the same room. Thanks.

Since you can astral summon people, the recruit or invite code tracks all people online first before what is in the room with you.

Before astral summon you could only invite things in the same room as you.
