Brandish bug...?

xxx's spell passes ineffectually through someone.
You start to float.
A broad-shouldered black bear floats a few feet in the air.
xxx floats a few feet in the air.
xxx blinks innocently.

That happens all the time when there is a ethereal NPC or pc in the room n00b.

You still shouldn't get that message, being that the warder is not in his group. Not that it really matters, just my 2 cents.

Its just a bug with etherealform and groups, I don't know what's going on behind the scenes though.

I think his point was that the spell hit someone obviously not in the group to begin with, not that it passed through an ethereal person.

C'mon Adder, you have played a mage. It's obvious that if you EG were in Exile, there could be an invis/ethereal warder in the room. When you brandish a staff, even if it is not agro, the spell appears to pass through the etheral person, even if he is not in your group. Hasn't it happened tenths of times to you when you were in the ether? :wink:

I'd actually completely forgotten about the fact that when you brandish defensive staves, it for some odd reason "passes through" other ethereal people in the room. Once somebody pointed that out, then yes the bug is really in the fact that it affects ethereal people not in your group.
