He started out as an alright character, and I like to think that i got a lot done with him, but of late he's pretty much been denied any fun, and in my new work position I just don't have the time to dedicate to a comeback, so I'm retiring him.
Odds are you won't be seeing much of me around, either; I just don't have the time anymore.

I don't mind your characters. I think you roleplay really well, even if your PK isn't up to snuff. But who am I to judge? Do come back when the time allows.

Syrsani, and Arkex were always Eb's best friends. All those months when it was just the three of us against some pretty ridiculous odds (and Eberhardt STILL refused to surrender) were some of the best gameplay I've had. It wouldn't have been the same without you two. Thanks.

Another in a long line of your characters that can't live up to the demands of class and alignment RP, but just bury their head in the sand and pretend they are hardcore. Try something other than a hellion, learn to back up your attitude with mechanics, then try another hellion. I dealt with Eberhardt on a couple of characters and it was always seemed lackluster on the RP front because I knew he could never do anything but write cheques with his mouth his arm couldn't cash.

It's not the first time you've heard that advice from me, and it's no less true this time. Mechanics and fountain RP are not justifiably separate in this game. The class and alignment of hellion require you to be able to bring out the pimp hand when it's called for, and you can't. You can learn to, you're not a stupid guy, but you currently don't have the ability. Therefore, all hellions will be lackluster when played by such a player regardless of who it is.

EDIT: Actually, to clarify, they don't require you to bring out the pimp hand, but they require you to bend your neck and be submissive to those who CAN bring out the pimp hand when you are someone who can't. Anything else is a poor showing in the RP department.

I've played one hellion (before I got good at mechanics) and I didn't walk around pretending to be the king of all darkness when I couldn't win a single engagement because as an aberrant, when you have no strength, you have no honor, and when you're a hellion without honor, you do not pretend to be the king [REDACTED].

Maybe if I ever decide to really play another character I'll make it a hellion and show you how it's done. Until then, I strongly suggest you play something that allows you to learn to play better so that your hellions aren't all the same delusional weaklings strutting around without justification.
