Petrus grew up in a small fishing village next to the sea in the Empire just a few leagues from the borders of Zhenshi. Being born with a hunched back, he was often teased and bullied by the other boys. He withdrew often in the presence of others, so as not to draw their attention. The village priest (of Sadal, the patron of the village) often tended his scrapes and taught him about the Luckmistress. He realized that she had given him this deformity to strengthen him through what he suffered. He wasn't lucky, but he was strong by the path she had given him. When he became old enough, he worked a boat with his father as well as on the docks, unloading fish and crates. He found confidence in his strength and endurance. He was still mocked by the other young men, and this led to brawls in and out of pubs, on and off docks, and through the street of the village. One day, the priest spoke to him about using his strength drive in fighting for something great. The priest had been a healer in the Legions, and so advised Petrus to enlist. He rose quickly as a soldier, and soon attracted the attention of the Council. He accepted the responsibility and began nearly thirty years of service, ultimately becoming second-in-command to Turon as the High Commander of the Imperial Legions. Eventually, he grew old and, having given all he had for the Empire, returned home to his village. That's his story... Petrus was my attempt to play a grey char that could reasonably follow the Empire and serve it accordingly. He was a lot of fun to play. But recently I haven't been playing much at all, and it was time to go. My thanks to Turon and Aldric, Khurt, Koln, Kirken, Golaret and Vaalim (the two scariest sorcs I've ever seen). You all made the Council an amazing place to RP and awesome to PK with. Also thanks to Tressa. For th' Empire! |

Damn you! Damn you! Petrus was the first person I met when I sought to join the Council and he was very intimidating. Just what I was expecting. Although I saw less and less of him I always considered him a high esteemed member of the Council. Thanks for everything mate and good luck with your next. |

I liked Petrus, he was solid from an RP standpoint. I understand that you were never really familiar with the PvP scene, so sorry if I overwhelmed you at times giving you crash courses in life and death. I was glad when Petrus came around, glad to give him second in command, and subsequently sad when he became more absent. Did you ever choose a second spec? |

Hehe... No I never did. My original idea in my mind was Petrus holding a mace, with a crossbow on his back. But then wakizashi messed that all up, and I never found something I really liked. Oh... P.S. Petrus is loosely based off of Richard Crookback as depicted in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Black Arrow". |

Petrus' rp always impressed me. I think I recommended him to be Turon's second in command before I deleted, but I'm pretty sure he'd have made that choice anyway. As far as pk, you seemed to catch on pretty quick, but I don't know how many characters you had before this guy. No offense to Mandarbb, but as far as sorcs go, Golaret was not scary. |

Wakizashi. Never chose a second spec. |

Wakizashi was a bad choice for a cabal. As far as I and the entire Council could find, there's only one adamantite (or equivalent) wakizashi and it's from a church. So when fighting guardians or whatever, my weapons got chewed up pretty quickly. Or even against tough armor, which made it kind of a bummer. It was a great spec choice in general, and I had a lot of fun with it, but... it's no good in CRS or even in PvP (though not as much). Oh... and I never got a second spec because after the wakizashi, I wanted to find something perfect but not one that everyone else always specializes in. I was looking at the flanged mace, the siege crossbow, and tested a few polearms, but... well, I'll just in with a few words from U2: I still haven't found what I'm looking for. |
