Coal-eyed male human Sorcerer in Harlequins. Dogmatic alignment. Had all his spells mastered, but hadn't gotten around to mastering wands/staves/scrolls yet.

19 int, 20cha, 16wis, 9str, 10dex, 10 con, 14art, 10mana
I wore +4int +4wis +10dex +10con, which made it a challenge to get his suit properly enchanted, but I managed. The max art and max mana worked out very well, imo, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't ready to have greater stat mods in every jewelry slot.

I kind of feel silly posting an afterlife thread for this guy, since there are very few people who interacted with him. He had a detailed back-story, which I will gladly post if there is any interest.

I wanted the option of going harlequin with him, so I pretended to be a newb when I first created so I could become buddies with Maraigh on yim and get in. Didn't end up being necessary, as Maraigh got the boot anyway. Sorry to the people who spent time answering my fake newb questions in the newbie forums.

I put a huge amount of effort into his rp, but somewhere down the line I lost the will, which is very unfortunate. He was actually my favorite character so far. I will describe the character in detail if there is any interest.

His lewt was pretty epic, and then Terrell final striked Ealuriel, and I added both of their collections to my own. It was kind of ridiculous, and I felt a little bit sick every time I looked in my container. I was a horrible hoarder, so apologies to everyone for that.

He was effective in pk, and I kind of wanted to see more of him in that arena, but I'm a lot happier when I'm devoting my attention to my real life l33tness as opposed to my fantasy character's l33tness, so I've decided to stop playing this game, at least for a while. I will continue to troll the forums religiously, though.

Ridiculous! Menkh LOVED Joseph, even though he was always so cold to her. I didn't know you were a hoarder, and in fact, I thought you were a complete newbie. I went overboard trying to help you because of it.

You suck for deleting! You could have just given that [REDACTED] away!

PS you could be my yim buddy

That being said, I am very interested in Joseph's dogmatic + Harlies justification, background story, etc. Sorry, I love all that junk.

I had little doubt that "Joseph_Miles" was a newbie based on his posts. Here are a few Opening posts from the "newbie" forum:

Okay, I know I'm getting way ahead of myself here, but I wanted to hear from actual players about this before I invested too much time.

I imagine most pvp is between established enemies like members of factions who are at war. In that case, I'd imagine all bets are off? I'm asking about more isolated conflicts between individuals.

Also, is it considered poor form to gank someone who doesn't know who you are, even if you have ample reason to hate them?

Is it considered poor form to gank someone who knows you but doesn't expect you to attack them, even if you have ample ic reason to hate them?

Thanks in advance for your responses.
Alright - I'll accept that. Perhaps you played in another RPK type mud and wanted to know what it was like in SK.

When it comes to leveling, is enchanting or (insert non-damage spell here)a viable alternative to dealing damage?
Again - semi-acceptable as a newbie to know about gaining XP but seems to suggest knowledge of mechanics - Non-combat XP cap to be exact.

Just a quick question about enchants. At a certain point, do more enchantments stop helping? For example, maybe 40 willpower is the same as 80 willpower, which would be good to know.

Thanks in advance.
And this one is where I lost any doubt about you being a real newbie. You are asking specific questions about specific stats where there is no in-game way of knowing this information short of depending on OOC knowledge which is often sketchy at best for a new player. Sorry, you burst the newbie bubble with this one.

On that note, I only saw your character once and wanted to kill him, when he was leveling in the blasted chancel... But that was because I thought you were a lightie.

He had me fooled completely: And I'm sure he didn't make that post about enchanting until Joseph -could- actually enchant.
