His goal in life was not to be a desert nomad, but to settle within the city of Nerina and become a simple priest. I did not have any real goals or motivations for the character, myself. I set only a single guideline, and that was to avoid tribunals/cabals and high-level or powerful gear. I had no desire for PK and I believe that a greybie priest was the best way for me to ensure I never encountered it. I allowed the other players of the game to shape my character in its entirety, and it was an interesting experience. I must give thanks to all of those who took the time to sit and chat with me. Of special note are the elemental priestess who sat and role-played with me extensively on the theology and beliefs of her faith. I enjoyed interactions with a certain dark knight of Fear, who I met early on in Ardim's life, and only later did I realize his true intentions once that knight achieved a position of power. Many thanks to Meissa and all of her support - I apologize for pushing so hard to get certain projects started, but with life suddenly becoming very real, I have to take a step back from SK. A very special thank you to a certain rogue who helped me find some pants. As for the downsides, I was honestly frustrated by the logout thieves. I could not seem to get ahead by myself, and even when I thought buying some bronze self defense weapons would be alright, the game took those from me too. I realized how unfriendly this game is to newbies - A lot of its enjoyment relies on OOC knowledge and OOC assistance. This, coupled with how hard it was (for me) to make that last push to acquire resurrection, more or less sapped all of my enjoyment from the game. I think my next character will be something easier for me to level, but I am afraid that I would lose the RP opportunities that a priest provides. And if you think I am being very vague by omitting names within this post, it is because I can't remember a single one. So don't feel bad, you are all awesome. |

MAN! My character literally just met yours, and I liked him!!! Sorry he was hard to level, and I hope the last bit of chaos at the end didn't prompt the deletion. |

Oh no. I loved the chaos! I only logged on to get my stats and things when all that went down. >_> |

I was hoping to get a chance to answer your questions and continue that conversation with you a bit later, but alas! Damn deep elves. |

You helped one of my alts (the one where we got owned by locusts?) and I thought your character was brilliant. "..Do you hear the birds?" I'll never forget that. I'm SO sad to see you delete. |

"..Do you hear the birds?" I'll never forget that. I'm SO sad to see you delete. Those locusts! I greatly appreciate that RP session we shared. I look forward to sharing further experiences with your characters, ladyjennbo. |

Damn. I made a char just to help chars like yours, but I haven't had nearly enough time to play it (or any other char in years). Too bad I couldn't change your outlook. I liked Ardim. Peace, Bux |

This is a wonderful thing. Not only for the player of the character, but for the players of other characters, because it shows that roleplaying -does- have an effect on the choices other characters make, and ultimately, the events that happen in the realms. I didn't get to see much of this character, but if you stuck with your commitments, I'm certain he was wonderful. |
