I just can't really find the fun anymore. Logging on to the mud lately has been more tense than enjoyable, and when your pastime starts to feel like work, it's time to find a new pastime. There are far too many people to thank. I was lucky to get to roleplay with all of you, honestly. And making a long list is out of the question, because I would surely miss someone out and then feel badly about it. But special thanks go to Saxia, Caeserea, Nosephthyki, Sorvol, Lane, Maraigh, Ralina, Arielyn and Yuni. Each had a big part in shaping Tiadre's worldview. (Edit: I can't believe I forgot Ealuriel!) (And yes, shout-out to Kawl ) I'm sure I'll see most of you again, once I've had a break for a while. Stats and all that stuff available if people really want to see them. She was more an RP character so I am not sure that they are relevant, but I saved them anyway just in case. |

The brief exchange between Evwyn and Tiadre was surprisingly pleasant. As the first light-aura I encountered on this new after-break character, I was expecting an entirely different conversation than we actually had. Thank you for contributing to the game and the role play. I hope you come back. |

I was disappointed to see this. Tiadre was a wonderful character and a lovely contrast to Caeserea. I'd be interested in Tiadre's background as an RP-heavy player myself. |

Yuni and Tiadre had a blast together. Some of the best RP I have had in awhile has come from Tiadre and it helped me shape my own for the better. We had an awesome time and I wish you luck on your next. |

No little shout out to Kawl? Oh well. I liked the character. Had many interactions and enjoyed them all. If you ever want to try it again I'll look foward to next time. |

As requested: Tiadre was the second of two daughters born to the Sae'Avain family. As a Sylvar elf, she was expected to marry another of pure bloodline and set herself to the task of childbearing, as her older sister had done. Tiadre was willful and idealistic, however, and given to long philosophical arguments about the nature of good and evil. So when she was called to the service of Aludra, she saw it as her chance to escape and make up her own mind about things. Caeserea invested Tiadre into the church, and they hit it off immediately. It was around this time that Tiadre met Saxia, who became Tiadre's closest friend and one of the very few that Tiadre could confide in. At about this same time, Tiadre met a jester in Exile, who was kind to her, and whom she developed a childlike crush upon. She (and I) never knew who it was, but it softened her heart toward the Harlequins in general and caused her to regard them as friends. They never let her down, either. Through an odd set of circumstances, Ealuriel and Tiadre became... not friends, but debating partners. Tiadre tried to teach Ealuriel about love and compassion, and in fact Ealuriel did show kindness and true friendship to at least one person (not Tiadre). One of the most interesting experiences of Tiadre's life was meeting Ealuriel at the shrine to hatred in Ayamao, and discussing the nature of enmity. It became Tiadre's obsession to try to heal the rift between the races, and to return them to the one race that existed before Yenkilo's murder. About this time, however, the immortals intervened and explained that enmity overruled religion and that penalties would be attached to helping deep-elves, regardless of the motivation. So that was a fairly crushing blow to Tiadre's concept as it had evolved. Tiadre had joined the Fist. Sorvol and Lane were both big influences on her way of thinking, as was Yuni later on. She idolised all three of them, and regarded those in the Fist as her family. Lhea and Kawl were good friends of Tiadre, and so Lhea's death affected Tia badly, though the roleplay surrounding it only gave her more respect for the deep-elf Nosephthyki. Arielyn and Tiadre had been good friends, but the pressures of leadership and the differences in their two organisations created a rift between them. There were difficulties within the faith, and Tiadre felt herself responsible for all of these things. Toward the end of her adventuring life, Tiadre felt very alone and isolated. She had devoted her life to others, but she felt she had no one who cared for her for her own sake and not merely for what she could do for them. Her attempt to end enmity had given her a purpose and a driving force behind the things she did -- once that spark was lost, most of her fire was gone. ICly, Tiadre is not dead. She's returned to her family, and agreed to marry. She will not be adventuring anymore, but she shouldn't be mourned ICly. |
