Shattered Kingdoms

I've always entertained the notion that I'll play him again some day, but I realize now that it won't be happening.

Aradan was just a spur of the moment character because I always enjoyed playing paladins, but he grew into something much more. While Aradan was active I had loads of fun, especially with my Hammer peeps.

I'm not one for writing long background stories and it was a while ago so I may not recall all the details. I'll just say that Aradan always worked hard to uphold the ideals of truth and live a disciplined, honor-bound life. There were some events in his early childhood that made these ideals of critical importance to him and they were the initial reason he sought out to serve Dulrik. He was fortunate enough to have two strong influences within the church that shaped him in a positive way, the first one was Alleli who was his knight-mentor and the second Yaubl who gave him some well-timed advice in his eccentric and old-fogeyish manner. After completing his training, he sought to join the Hammer and was lucky enough to serve with (in no particular order) Chauld, Sithara, Zafari, Hedonaris, Caeserea and I'm probably forgetting someone (sorry). They had some neat adventures, killed some baddies, got killed by baddies.

Also a special mention goes to Enfield and Navelic. Go team peacekeepers!

This was a good character. He faced some real hardship during Benjamins rein of terror when the black has was utterly massive after the passing of the adepts.

I always liked meeting with Aradan as Shenji, though he never did get around to knighting me himself.
