Whilst reviewing my back-ups, stumbled across some old logs on my hard drive, got all nostalgic reading them, so figured I'd drop by and share one for old time's sake, as as an excuse just to say hello to anybody that remembers me, as it's been a while :)

I miss calling deep-elves drows, I remember when they made the change over and you couldnt call em drow anymore. I remember the complaint as being that drow was a disrespectful term or something. What a load of horse pucky. I say we bring back drow, its so much shorter and easier.

And also, what ever happened to the sailors dufflebags you got in seawatch. I remember once you hit apprentice you'd make your way up to seawatch to grab a dufflebag. If you had one of them you could hold anything as long as you were strong enough to carry it. They never filled up.

Is that really why we don't use the term Drow?
There has to be another reason, right? I think that having derogatory terms for races would heighten RP insults.

The reason we don't use the term Drow is because it was "already taken". And the makers of SK feel it is important to distinguish our deep-elves from the DnD drows.

God I miss those days, the player base was amazing and there were no tribunals. Made for nice and full cabals.
