Quote: A little woman soared quickly through the open forest, looking about with bright eyes and wearing a curious smile. Mighty oaks stood as grand fortresses, and each pine was an arsenal of rapiers. Her blue wings and pink-blonde hair glimmered in the sunlight as she hovered for a moment, listening. Monstrous crunching noises reverberated in her ears, like a great beast feasting on the bones and meat of a carcass. Her face whipped from side to side, and her perpetually happy expression might have wavered. As the cacophony grew closer, she shot deep into the forest. Each oak was a closed wall, and every plant below her had an air of uncertain doom instead of the shelter they may have once provided. Sweat dripped from her face as the crunching and plodding of steps grew louder. She frantically looked around as she flew, and came upon a clearing. The breath of her pursuer puffed against her back and wings, and putrefied the air around her. With death at her back, she zipped into the clearing and shot straight into the air. A dripping maw and four bony legs were the first things she saw as her gaze met the beasts’ lithe body. A furry hide exploding with hellfire and a vicious roar were all the persuasion she needed to flee again. She veered to the left, but her attacker leapt into the air, and sliced the air with a mighty paw. Her tiny frame fell to the ground in a heap, and long slash marks on her legs oozed bright blood. Snorting with triumph, the beast advanced on its prize. A little sparkle of mischief shone in the sprite’s eyes as she turned her head to the side. The unsuspecting beast opened its mouth, eagerly anticipating her soft, tender flesh. Its maw cast a grim shadow over her. Thinking quickly, she rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the beast’s maw. Her heart raced as she quickly summoned a ball of red mana in her hands, and hurled it at her opponent. It hissed and roared in agony as the energy crackled and charred its body. Smirking, she turned and darted away from the beast. In its feral state, her attacker’s eyes glowed with rage. Its growl grew to a snarl, and then erupted into a roar, and it tore across the forest, seeking its prey. It spotted her quickly, and sprang into the air, baring its serrated claws, and yellow teeth. The little woman quickly turned around, and the beast was suddenly unable to move. A bolt of silver light shot from the sprite’s fingertips, and impaled the beast’s head, freezing it in mid-air. Snarls of rage and contempt echoed in the forest as its body slowly turned from flesh to stone, and clattered onto the forest floor. There, it remained a crumbled statue; a memory of what it once was. As she sighed deeply in relief, sunlight broke through the canopy of trees, and shone on her face. She giggled at the sight, and settled herself daintily upon a nearby flower. After a last glance at the sun and flower, she curled up into a little ball, and quietly slipped into the realm of dreams.
A little scene for you all who like stories (written a long time ago). She's free- at 183. Born and raised as a scholar to two prolific writing sprites, Furaha had a few rules in life: 0. Never frown. Frowning makes you die inside. 1. Boys are silly. 2. Big people are silly. 3. Big boys are the silliest people possible. She was also a very prominent sizist and sexist- believing in the superiority of her race, size and gender. She served in the Guardians (as Regent, twice) for more than a hundred years until she was thrown out for reasons. Now, she is succeeded by a daughter. Furaha was a sprite in every sense possible- a silly dialect, a Hedonistic outlook on life, and an affinity for happyness regardless of circumstances. A couple of quirks about her character I kept through her entire life was never having her frown (yup, 3 years with no frown social), she was a blantant racist/sizist/sexist, very self-righteous, didn't like any religion in particular and never did, and she was bisexual. Over time, she grew to acquire a baka mallet and a lot of confetti in her repertoire, to punish silly boys and to celebrate. Furaha was a character I decided from her creation that I was going to play her to age death no matter what happened. It was hard sometimes to roleplay a perpetually happy character. Giggling and smiling when you as a player feel like crap doesn't quite some out the same, it's weird. I'm not going to play for a while, but it's been an interesting few years. Thanks to everyone who made it fun to play. Stats still to come. Edit: To follow up now that people have said a bit: On my end, I tried to make Furaha as much of a three-dimensional character as possible, having a very hidden backstory and a list of great and not-so-great things that only could be found out ICly. It was a very careful balance how to RP her, whether to keep her happy and naive at all times or to let her intellect actually shine (her INT and WIS were maxed). She also had a very innately maternal instinct for those around her, an approach that was not popular during her leadership days. I'm still contemplating what to play next. She's a hard act for me to follow. |

Nothing but fond memories of what might just have been my only rhetorical war in my time here - for some reason, it seemed to fit the situation perfectly. Desdomos was created from day one with the intent of being somewhat tyranical, so I'm surprised noone but you stood up - though, as I recall, you were admitted back in some time later, so no harm, no foul, I hope. Well played, though a sprite is bound to annoy me from time to time. |

OMG the fun I had hating her as Oraeus! Good times. Although it did cause me serious frustration to see the things you did that offended (in my char's opinion) Ayamao and Nature, it was very well played for the concept you had in mind. Good luck with your next. |

I remember telling you to make her back when you were a massive nooooob. Has it been that long ago? O_o Anyway, I liked Furaha in the beginning, she weirded me out in the middle of her life, and by the end of it I really didn't like some of the things she did. However! Well rped and it was kept steady. |

I frequently enjoyed my interactions with Furaha on Rikka. Furaha, Rikka, and Luorei had some great conversations, and a couple of good adventures together. After Rikka, my characters moved generally away from Furaha, as Furaha became more and more inactive. Also, I'd really, really gotten sick of the stereotypical Speech Of The Mentally Challenged that so many sprite characters vomit onto my screen. You didn't use it as an excuse for lack of deep RP, but it was still there and I can only take that in short doses. |

Stocaryn loved Furaha, which was patently odd for her. The three witches of Sadal. <3 Good times. Three women who couldn't be more different, all working to further Fate's will. Cheers, and we'll be seeing you. |

Furaha was around for so long, there were many memorable interactions with her. She stuck to that personality like no other, despite being 'spritely', it still felt original, and that made Furaha became real and unique. Quite a rare gem in SK. Last but not least, she spent a great deal of time helping others, another precious quality uneasy to keep. |

Wow. One of my favorites. Sad to see her go. |

Inzy always ran into Furaha in the most random ways. From wacky scatterports to wacky teleports to random gates. 'Oh, hey there,' he'd say when she waved, casually carrying on conversation as armies hunt him down like a dog. She was too friendly to just breeze by wordlessly, though. |

I understand this one completely. Great character. Didn't interact that much with many of my characters, but Furaha was still a fun character to be around - especially with my current. Good luck with whatever you do next. Cheers sleeper |
