Had a good time actually. Paern was sort of designed to be a "grab a suit of tanso armor, mods to keep up certain cabal abilities, and charge into combat" kind of character. I managed to pull this off to a certain extent I think, landed a few decent kills anyhow.

Although it was mostly a pk character, I did try to work up some decent rp on him as well. He was cross-eyed to the point of near blindness, and I justified his ability to fight well through the barbarian skillset (Blind fighting) and he'd use "seeing-eye-horses" to find his way around. That, along with a child-like fascination of chivalry (Brought on by ideals passed ot him by his biggest idol, his father.) is what ultimately lead him into the Hammer of Light. Aradan did show some reluctance with letting him in, thinking his handicap would somehow made him unfit for being a Knight (This doubt was spurred by Zafari I think.) though Paern quickly proved his worth to Aradan and for a while was his preferred brand of beef for pounding down demons, darkies and the like.

Paern was naive in many ways, and I tried to portray this by (and this is one of the hardest things I've done on a character) purposefully walking into extremely lop-sided negotiations with the Harlequins at one point and coming out thoroughly bested in a sense of who got the upper hand of negotiations.

In short, had a great time, and I will definitely be back on another character, at least after exams and Age of Conan craze has diminished slightly.

Instead of posting skill-list, I'll post a snippet of it, to demonstrate just how "offensive" minded Paern was as a character. (I think I switched away from mood aggressive once, and only for a few minutes.)

I am sure I am forgetting alot of people, sorry for that. And this is the longest afterlife post I've ever done, I think.

Paern's title was kickass. Rawr!

I don't really think he was just a PK character, he did have some good RP going on, I always thought it was OOCly amusing when he'd look at people and his eyes were aiming left or something. :lol:

Too bad we don't have damage meters on SK, Paern would've owned that [REDACTED] up.

Heh, leave it to Paern to give you some tough lovin'. What can I say? Didn't get to see very much of him, but the time we did spend around each other was, as always, very enjoyable. He dealt some beastly damage and that made me happy in my pants.

Paern was possibly the only Hammer Delinus ever really respected, or at least didn't loathe entirely. Those negotiations were really a blast to do, and I came out feeling thoroughly devious. Of course, we went right back to war, but the point is, the little parley-thing was great. Props for solo PK, which I always sort of admire, and a few less-than-masculine giggles at the mental picture of a towering fighter peering nearsightedly somewhere off to the side while talking to me.

Awesome enemy. Really fun RP after the fights (usually involving him singlehandedly beating down two tanks in front of me, then Krager). Bastard did sick damage with a HOL.
