As for characters, some names might get shouted down, but I can appreciate the different colours they all collectively added to the SK mosaic -
Fayne, Fresk, Arkania, Pequlyar, Severen, Rinyon, Savax, Cindre, Darken, Akein, Buxtehude, Lorias, Olrin. Maybe even Mortifair.

Not exhaustive by any means, since this is off the top of my head while at work.

Rinyon was a lightie swashbuckler right? He was given the spell enchant weapon or armor after having quested for it. Also he had some equipment that was god-like quality, not just near god-like quality, if I remember correctly.
