Shattered Kingdoms

I interacted a fair bit with Dmitri in my early days with Bromus. What he showed me I liked. What ever was going on when we sort of split apart, about the time he joined fists and stopped living in Taslamar, I don't know.

My experiences with Dmitri were all around good, hope you come back with another.

I liked what I saw of Dmitri, which wasn't much really.

I don't know about the 'you shouldve never been in the fist' thing. I've read the log, and I'll just say this.


Not everyone who joins the fist has to be a perfect monk from day one.
Some will make mistakes, others will turn into hammer-ish behaviour before some elder monk notices and tries to educate them.

Imo these characters are far better than those with a full complete and perfected concept by the time of creation.

WHAT LOG!?!?

The one titled "lawl" where Dmitri thinks it's funny that he was playing an eager-to-kill Fistie who murders "thieves" even after convincing them to return what they've "stolen."

The same incident that may have had something to do with what was probably a decent hellion deleting.

Having played a character that took a path that was certainly 'non-convensional' for Fist it's not horrible RP to make such a character concept, so long as you are willing to roll with the consequences of being different/not readily accepted.

It's sad that a player wants to go down a difficult path and gets called out so severely OOC. The real horrible thing that happened here is the tragedy that it seems like a PLAYER is being driven off from playing a character more so than a CHARCTER was being treated as it was deserved in game.

I'll go beat up on my own character, just as some of the comments above remind me of.. well, Amadeo.

Amadeo certainly was "flawed," but it was part of his belief system. Didn't keep me from RPing that struggle on a consistent basis, both internally, within the Church, and the cabal. Sure, it got him into ample Trouble. But the RP was fresh, and the conflict kept the character interesting to play... though there were times I know there were those who would have gladly throttled him/ and/or took a few pot shots at the player along the line, mostly because Amadeo's belief system tended to make things difficult all around at most times. He certainly was someone you loved... (when he finally went away.) It was difficult. His heart was always in the right place, so he was always given some leeway. Unfortunately, it was also always getting in the way of everything.

Anyway, Dmitri - my suggestion is if you're going to play another character 'out of the box' have all the RP in the arsenol to ground yourself and also prepare yourself OOC mentally to handle the guff you'll get for not conforming to the norm. Or do as some others have suggested and find a place to work on something a bit easier where the character's philsophy's actions are more aligned to the alignment/organization you seek.
