Sorry Ceciro!

*clears her throat*

And to Ceciro for protecting her tush too! And Tuckory, though he wasn't around as much at the end.

And Turon, and Aldric for tolerating her rambling at times, and the darkies, though they killed her often, they were fun and I always learned something, just a shame I never really had time to learn where to get the good stuff... mmmm the good stuff....wish I had the good stuff.

Awe, I remember playing with her when she was first starting and went hammer. She was a great character.
Sorry I had to pk you a few times, and I truely hope me killing you a few of those times didn't have anything to do with your deletion.

If you do decide to come back and need any help, you can send me a pm or add my yim Which is below. I'm always willing to help with any questions people may have.

Or you know where to find me in game.
GL with w/e you do. -waves-

SK Character: Briner, Senach, Myson, others.
As Myson, I loved Xylia. Unfortunately, RL took me away from that character far too often. I know what you mean by being alone, and for that I do apologize.

I do hope you'll come back. You're a very strong player and SK will suffer for your loss.

on that note has anyone ever thought of giving the peace keepers a bit of a buff?

overall, in comparison to other kingdoms, Peacekeepers have it pretty good, but one can argue that's not enough (I don't agree/disagree either way)

Dulrik's vision is that guards can't be too buff or NPCs would be doing all the work, which is fair enough, but when there is a low count player base, there isn't going to be PCs around to defend in the first place, which makes it not fun, and in turn short character lives for these tribunals

it's double edged, just like the splitting of cabals and tribunals in the first place

did it make sense at the time? maybe? does it make sense now? maybe? is it MORE fun to have potentially 3-10 single organisations instead of 1-5 split up groups? YES! tons more fun

if players like Xylia wasn't alone and had more support from other players, she might have felt more inclined to stay ><

(similarly, bringing recall back to inns instead of the portal stones has been one of the best reverted decisions ever)

One of the hardest things to get past when learning to PvP is that you're going to end up dying. A lot. And you're going to be on the losing side of PvP as a new player. A lot.

I know I spam died with my first character, who was ironically an elf keeper leader as well. I know what it's like to be alone, without many friends and without much IC knowledge. I also know that if you had stuck with it you were coming to a point where you would have had plenty of chances to do what you'd really wanted with the character: You had allies, a new recruit to the keepers (Who seems like a good player to have around from what I've seen) and the Hammer was still on your side.

I don't like PKing players into deletion, and I don't think that I pushed Xylia too hard. I was personally present for... two of her deaths, maybe? And those deaths were both in the city of Exile, and kills through damage: Not charm kills or summon kills, which are undeniably much more frustrating.

After those two kills and Endanoriels' deletion, it was pretty obvious that the Keepers were in dire straits, so I contacted Xylia to make a deal, expecting to at least get some sort of effort on Xylia's part to make a truce.
Instead, I was ignored and mocked ICly from Xylia, with very obvious OOC frustration bleeding into the character. It took a serious amount of time just to get Xylia to even think about listening to me at all, and even more to get her to come back from the river and make the treaty official. I feel that I changed Turon's character concept just a little in order to accomodate a treaty with the Keepers.

I'm not getting on Xylia's case: I understand her reaction given the circumstances. But it's very important that as a new player (especially to the PvP scene) you have to be certain to be careful what boundaries that you set your characters to have. If you put too many constraints on what your character will or won't do before you're actually in a situation, then you'll end up doing one of two things when you're pushed: You'll either A) end up PKing someone into deletion and frustrating them, or B) You'll end up deleting yourself because you can't handle not winning.

I think that you were a decent player, Xylia. If you do decide to roll another character, I would advise you to either be willing to adjust your character concept to make your character playable, or be willing to accept the fact that if you do play a character who is unflinching in his/her morals that you will probably end up on the losing side more often than not. But even death, if you learn from the mistakes that you made in PvP, can be a very helpful learning experience, albeit much more boring.

Also, the Peacekeepers are not underpowered as a tribunal. They have a few very nice guards as well as access to some very nice buff/utility spells. Holy word, anyone?

Damn. Was hoping to actually RP with her a bit more. Good luck on the next one (?).

BS that the peacekeepers need a buff. Take steroids if you are tired of getting kicked around by the hardcore. I'm not sure if it actually helps but at least you'll get to roid rage.

I just came across an old song that this thread (and character) reminded me of.

I'm surprised. I really expected to be rickrolled there, and instead got a song that kind of is related to Xylia.

And, Tiala, you're a good player. Sorry to see you leave the game.
