I wish I knew what makes someone a hoarder. In my own opinion, a hoarder is someone who does one of several things. 1) keeps items so that other people cant have them. 2) keeps multiple sets of items (IE two sets of armor, or 3x of one stave) 3) keeps items that make them look leet when they dont use them. On all of my characters, I have always kept a lot of items. I have a char now, with a huge stash of items. BUT, if you look at the items they are: one of each stave/wand I use, which i keep recharged. a lot of scrolls and vials, which never decay- because i use them in pvp, and if not pvp then pve. one set of armor, with one or two extra pieces i am currently enchanting (IE exile neckguard with XX enchants on, and a blank one in my bags that im trying to get better). I also have a few hand outs- trinkets or wands that I wont use but plan to give to a fellow cabal mate or class mate. This has been true for all of my characters. Even if I manage to say kill a warrior with nice stuff, with my caster.... I drop all the stuff somewhere in an HQ and take a lance, and a ring. I am fairly positive that this makes me not a hoarder. I dont keep around things like the staff of winter, staff of storms, etc. Cool looking items that match my gear that i wont use.... end up in the bin. Oh well, Im fairly certain all the people QQ about hoarding are those people who sit in the inn and spam locate, and gasp when they see a centaur with 15 staves, even though 10 are storebought and the other five were obtained by the centaur fair and square from thier respective NPCs. One more word in defense of so called hoarders: if you dont know where to get an item, you probobly dont deserve it. Because your good at PVP and can take leet excrement from someone does not make you also leet. If you can hold onto nice things because when you lose them you go and re get them, that makes you leet.
