The character Ormond was forfeit due to violation of Rule 2(RP), and Rule 4(MP). Further action was taken to reduce the likelihood of future occurrences.

The character Aeridoc was forfeit due to multiplay abuse.

Remember folks, items are not to be transferred between your own characters regardless of status as limited items or non-limited items.

The character Mitrasatva was forfeit due to links with a previously banned player, misrepresentation, and usage of open proxies.

The player archaicsmurf has been banned from Shattered Kingdoms until January 2022 at the earliest, with a requirement of apology before return.

This decision was made because the player chose to create another character for the sole purpose of griefing other players via final strike, and feeling justified with that decision.

Choosing to remove a player from the game is never taken lightly, and this is even more true with our limited player base at this time, however it's important that the people that do play with us do so with more respect for their fellow players in mind.

A player from the permanently banned list has been removed from the game as of today. If you believe this has impacted you in error, please feel free to reach out to myself or Dulrik for further discussion.

The character Ashidjian was cursed one level and had 2 pieces of armor removed from his person in violation of Rule 2 (RP).

Though I carried out this punishment, it was on the agreement of the entire staff and with permission from the Rules Manager (Algorab).

As a reminder, attempting to login to other players characters and accounts is a punishable offense regardless of reasoning, up to and including site ban.

Today after some RP related PK a player logged out immediately after their death. The killer attempted to login to the other player's account ensure the victim hadn't deleted. The killer has now suffered a small curse, and a reminder not to attempt to login to others accounts in the future.

While we do our best to take the totality of the situation into account, it's best to avoid these situations entirely by only logging into your own accounts.

Reminder: While player counts are pretty low at the moment, you are still expected to adhere to the rules of game play. You may only log into one character at a time.

Shattered Kingdoms has been around for almost 30 years at this point and while new players to muds are a rare occurrence, we do get plenty of returning players and existing players that either ignore or profess ignorance to the rules.

The message of the day reminds players to read and understand help rules on every login, and that's on top of the rules and terms of service reminders that happen during every character creation. There is zero reason for any player to be unaware of the rules, and if I'm being honest the vast majority of rules violations are from players entirely aware of the rules they are violating, and are not so rarely even encouraging others to purposefully violate as well.

Enough is enough. The volunteers who give their time and energy to help maintain this space for play, and the remaining players that respect that effort and their fellow players time deserve better.

The player of Groot/Cordellia/et al was found to be purposefully multiplaying, including grouping multiple characters together for easier leveling. While the punishment was forfeiture of a few characters, this was only the initial infraction and the poor behavior has continued since then with lots of OOC communication in-game approaching harassment, multiple RP violations, and apparently still a complete refusal to familiarize themselves with the various rules of the game.

That player is now being removed from the game, and this removal should stand as a reminder to all players that you're free to remove yourself from the game at any time, but you will be expected to follow the rules and not encourage others to do differently while you're here, or you will no longer be welcome yourself.
