Should have just rolled a deep-elf. That way your semi-dislike of the self-righteous elven bunch would fit right in. I'm not sure if you actually had a semi-kindred with the not-nice elven bunch (I didn't see enough of your roleplay to know), but it seems like that would have fit in too. Your persona and back-story would blame your up-bringing for the outlook, while others may or may not consider it the usual emnity.
Anyway, sounds like a few folks thought you were going a bit too far against the grain for them to RP with you, but I can at least take the long view and say at least you stuck with your back story and character outlook. Consistency, etc.
