I originally created Fink to be a mess-around alt, but he grew on me after a while, and he became my main for a while after joining the Hammer. The things which led up to his inactivity/deletion were the lack of many enemies to fight, (sad, but true,) the annoyance of playing a gimped race/class combo with little benefits for the drawbacks (It was fun, but never as good as a human), and general disappointment in the RP of most lighties. Being busy on top of that didn't help. I also fell a bit too far into the "spritely" attitude with Fink, and while that wasn't by any means a reason I deleted, it didn't give me much pause in giving him the boot.
Backstory: He grew up in Craeftilin, and his parents were secretly necromancers who raised him in an environment of constant pain and fear. Whenever given the chance, he would spent time with the priests of Light in Craeftilin, because they were so much more willing, accepting, and loving than his parents. As a child, he suffered pain and horror to an extent that was very rarely explicated in-game: He blocked most of the memories and didn't prefer to talk about it. His parents were eventually found out and executed for their use of necromancy, and while they were in the river, Fink ran away to the lands of uhh... I forgot his home nation.
Game History:
Fink lived his life trying to push out the memories of his past by righting wrongs and injustice everywhere he saw it. Necromancers especially irked him, as they always reminded him of his painful past, and also were the reason why gnomes as a race had grown so weak, which is something that he was constantly aware of: Only with the aid of powerful magic was he able to even come close to the physical prowess of the other races. He ended up joining the Hammer in order to best root out evil everywhere he could find it, but ended up losing his ambition when he saw so many others who claimed to fight evil, but were themselves blinded by their pride, their own selfish goals, or even tainted by the use of necromancy itself. He finally lost the will to fight and disappeared, never to be seen again.
