Alright, I have resisted posting this for far too long and feel the need now to post it before my head explodes. I have known for some time now that some tribunal guards are more subsceptable to being summoned than other tribunals, but until now, it has never been a problem. So I ask this question to the IMM staff... Why? Why are Legion and Peacekeeper NPCs so easy to summon but you can't do it so easily with others? It seems highly unbalanced for these two tribunals to have to deal with an "easy" coffer drain. I think ALL guards should be coded to not be able to be summoned. Discuss.

I can only speak to years ago, but I could summon Talon guards with incredible ease on my Talon and did to for strategy.

Perhaps it is a build issue; are there more non-summon rooms in some cities than others?

I have tried many times on my last sorc to summon different guards. The only tribunal guards I can summon are "peacekeeper" and "legionnaire". I can't summon "Black hand" or "Guardian" or "Talon". I can summon the named guards from said tribunals. I don't think it has to do with anti magic rooms. I think it has to do with the way you can target them. I can summon Losquez or Animorphus (Spelling?) Iarbonel Balacha and a few others whos names escape me right now. The point to me is it should be one way or the other across the board.

First, black hand NPCs aren't named "black hand," and so on.

Second, "named" NPCs, like Balacha, are sometimes made non-summonable.

Third, have you tried X.guardian? If you cast on guardian over and over, you may be targeting the same one each time.

The number one problem, other than the NPCs being flagged non-summon, is usually that a summonable guard has wandered into a nosummon room.

I did a lot of looking into this on my characters in tribunals. I'd say contact me ICly, but I don't have a character who casts summon at the moment. There's also the chance this has changed since Jorinthia and Nytomi did all their experimentation.

I would say things have changed. I have tryed X.guardian and I am aware they aren't name Black Hand. I do believe I already stated that in the above post. Something along the lines of; I tried to summon "Black Hand" as you can with "Peacekeeper" and "Legionnaire". I also know the some named guards have and will continue to be made un-summonable.

Maybe you should try summoning the black hand guards by what they are actually called. None of them are called "black hand." Try "council-guard," or "persuader," etc. . .

I have tried it that way. Try doing it some time.

This shouldn't be draining coffers.
