When you sell items to shops do you receive 5% sales tax or whatever tax is being used at the time?

...I am pretty sure this is not how taxes work.

When people buy from your shops, the % of the sales tax goes into the tribunal's coffers.

When people sell to your shops, they just ruin your economy

I figured that much. :p I just thought it would make sense if when a person sells something there would be tax. In hindsight that would just recess the economy more.
