I just don't think axes are as good as they should be. There are times when they are very useful (leveling for instance) but in the PVP scene they are nowhere to be found. Personally I don't think they do enough damage for as slow as they are. I understand two handed weapons don't do more damage than their one handed counterparts but they should. You're giving up a huge bonus by giving up a shield making you very vulnerable. This is why I feel axes, and even some slower pole arms are not used as much as they should be. I realize there are one handed axes so that you can utilize a shield but again no one will use a one handed axe because there are options that do just as much damage and are more accurate and fast. It's not really in the best interest to make them more accurate and fast, but more painful would be perfect. The only people who use axes are shamans and thats because it's somehow the best weapon of the god awful selection of weapon skills they get. Now before anyone comes up in here and tells me two handed weapons do more damage than one handed weapons I will refer them to the "Help axe" helpfile: "Two-handed weapons do not do additional damage but will allow the wielder to make greater use of their strength." I think two handed weapons should get the dmg bonus from STR PLUS and additional damage bonus due to weight, intertia, whatever so that maybe people will give axes a try. There's so many good axes in the game that should be used and should be coveted but they are not because they because obsolete with the weapons change. That's just something that has really been bugging me for a while, what are peoples thoughts? |

The only thing that needs fixed is that some of the axes need made more accurate, like hatchet and throwing axe. |

IRL - Tom-a-hawks(sp?) were and still are devastaing one handed weapons. I would like to see axes more prevalent on the 'outdoorsy' classes. |

There's a lot of weapons I'd like to see more usable. Scythes, halberds, axes, any polearm really. Speedy weapons are far too powerful given the enchantment system and the damage buffs people can accumulate like gstr, prayer, haste (already gives most weapons attacks that they don't need..) and such. |

Add whips. I don't think I've EVER seen anyone using a whip. |

I will only accept paladins using whips IF at 6pm every day they get a pop-up that they can't override and can't do any actions for a few seconds that reads "What a horrible night for a curse." Also, every morning at 6am another similar popup that reads "The morning sun has vanquished the horrible night." |

You're forgetting the ever present, "Die monster. You do not belong in this world." |

Weapons in general need to be reworked, I'd love to see anyone actually doing combat with a shuriken or a bandelore even better I'll fight anyone irl who wants to use those weapons as portrayed by barbarians. |
