I'm opting for Gameplay vs Bug or Newbie Help, at least for now. My character was battling a mage, and succumbed to the sleep spell. I've had this happen before, and it seemed like it took a long time to wear off, but not too extreme. Today, I have now been sitting for almost the entire duration of a Phineas & Ferb episode.. at least 20 - 25 minutes. Is this a bug, or bad luck for something rare, but possible? |

I'd imagine that higher level NPCs will hold sleep longer than lower level NPCs. That might be the difference this time. Give it a little while longer. You can also keep a pet next to you, which will keep the fight going so you wake up right after being put to sleep. |

Does sleep prevent you from logging out while affecting you? If not, I would just log out and back in. The other thing that might get you out of it is letting your character go into the void by not typing anything for ~5 min, then coming back from that. |

Leveling NPCs that cast sleep around the vet-mentor level hold it for 30 mins almost without fail, unless for some reason they cast self-buffs before sleep and run out of mana. It's probably part of what makes leveling through that stretch, for me anyways, not worth the time it takes. The same is true for blindness, deafness, but at least there are herb/potion options for those. Sleep, on the other hand, is a complete fun killer with no recourse. |
