I'm planning a Bonanza this month and I thought I would attempt the players the chance to do something I have always loved about this game. That something in particular is changing the game world from a micro to a macro level. Perhaps this idea doesn't really have much impact or significance, but I wonder if X skill was removed or blocked or taken from the game what people would want to do as a reflection in character to influence those events.Wars have been fought over knowledge and the power that knowledge represents. Perhaps what I'm saying is we should schedule a Bonanza to let people really hash out their feelings on some particular subject and let the outcome of that event determine what, if any changes might occur. I could illustrate a few ideas that have been discussed, but I'm a little more interested in how people might enjoy or not this kind of scenario. I am attempting to remain a little vague, but I'd love to see what discussion I can spark for the possible future event.

Bolt of glory should get blocked.

Cause uhhh, the paladin council is really led by a closet necro.

The end.

How much room do we have here? Does this have to be something that doesn't require code updates? Before coming up with ideas, a good picture of the scope of the available resources would be nice.

There still isn't a critical mass of unknown talent in the game to spark true war. Right now, from what I can read, it is basically the same people having the same fights doing the same dances with different key signatures.

If you want to block anything for a meaningful trial-and-feedback session, block the order command. You'll get tons of data from many different sources.

Poison a random set of gods and remove their spheres of influence for a time.

As cool as the Time of Troubles was in Faerun, I don't see it being executed properly in SK.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Death were removed from SK.

No it wouldn't. Nobody hardly bothers with killing that NPC.

Not a fan of that idea.

I'm all for a bonanza in which voodoo or final strike gets removed. I will spam-roll sorcs who level up and final strike people if it will help accomplish this.
