D, great job with adding the minotaurs! They are tempting enough to bring me back for rp reasons alone. One thing I noticed about them though is that they lack an innate skill that captures the short tempered and barbarian fly-off-the-handle like aggression that is the minotaur. It is really a berserk like temperament, though personally I'd feel that would be too much and detract away the cornerstone of a barbarian. What about giving them frenzy, but as a skill. Make it function like berserk as it takes ME and PE to work themselves into the frenzy as well as the limited duration. Then just make it not stack with berserk. I'm curious to see what other people think about this idea. Oh, sorry, but I didn't take the time to search all the older topics on minotaurs so this idea might already be posted and flamed. |

Size small and tiny people should be able to mount minotaurs and ride around on their shoulders while clutching their horns. An annoying gnome exlaims "HIM BLASTER! ME MASTER!" A gargantuan mintoaur roars! An annoying gnome asks " Who run goblin town?"

On a side know about mintoaurs, I have not played one but I have heard that they cant where a head slot. What about allowing them to wear noserings? Like that NPC in the Teron noobie area. Let them get a limited ac for a nosering but allow them nothing else? |

This was addressed by an Imm, I believe Dulrik actually, in another thread where they talked about how Minotaurs believe that the nosering is a sign of slavery and it infuriates them. Even if the mindset was changed on this, the noserings really should only be considered treasures and not armor. How is a nosering going to stop a hammer to the back of the head. In fact, how is a nosering going to stop a hammer to the nose? Go to your local metal concert and punch some guy with a nosering in the face. His nose breaks just as easy as yours, believe me. |
