Post subject:  Question about Pets

Do they age?

If so, can they die of old age? How is this set up?

You really think you'll ever have the same pet long enough for this to even be an issue?

Kilia made a funny.

There're NPCs in game that're like 1000 years old, I don't think pets will be dying of old age anytime soon.

Pets as of current don't age. They also don't eat or drink, or crap.

EDIT: It IS possible to have a pet alive for a really long time, Lakir. I could keep gorillas and pythraxes for years on end if I was careful when adventuring.

Hehe, if you ever get a certain item in game, it's quite fun to go around looking at the age of everything. When I had it, I found several NPCs that were over 500 years old.

GL, I doubt you ever kept one around long enough for it to 'age die' as was the original question. I have no doubt you can keep it for several weeks, or even a few months.

The average lifespan of a domesticated dog is what, 8 years? 9 years? That's about "several months" of rl time.

I had a gray wolf for 100 IC years.

She did not age one bit.... Made me feel really old... Wait! I AM old :( :o
