Am I going crazy? I could have sworn fortitude affected how much damage harm did to you, and was listed on the "help fortitude" page. I was testing out harm damage yesterday however, and either it's not working, or I'm just crazy and fortitude was never a factor in harm damage.

I'd like to know if it is suppose to help or not though, in my tests harm was hitting me for around ~30% with 29 fortitude, that's a ridiculous amount for having that much fortitude.

So can anyone clarify? Am I crazy, or is fortitude just not affecting harm, or any of the cause spells like it should be.

From my own testing, it doesn't. Fortitude applies to 'save' spells such as finger of death, blindness, poison, disease and so on. Harm is a damage spell with no other components, therefore it is reduced by magical protection. I can however see why you would think fortitude could act as a damage reduction and I'm certainly not against the idea. Harm hurts a lot, it makes playing a priest worthwhile.

Hrmm, I guess I'm going crazy.

Ahh well, I knew it would happen some day, sure wasn't expecting it in my early 20's. When life gives you a lemon make apple juice!

Actually the onset of many mental illnesses is early adulthood. So there's nothing wrong with you, except you're crazy.

That's always been my understanding of it as well.

Ahh, yes, that MR certain someones were frustrated with when I was enchanting. My priestess had loads of MR but nobody else wanted any.

I guess if you want to be healed easily, you have to be able to be harmed with the same ease.

Magic resistance would be USEFUL if you couldn't resist friendly spells but as it is right now its absolute trash for any spell caster that ever needs to target themselves with spells.

Lol, priests have a spell that'll do ~300% more damage than a warlock's most powerful spell.

I thought it was common knowledge, that only MP works for harm.
