I'm really terribly disappointed in the players recently. Why would you backstab a novice and take their quiver? Why would you steal 50 gold from a character who might not have another single coin to their name?

If I was a true newbie and had a day like I did today, I'd never ever come back to SK.

Think about what you're doing. While "ilkaisha" knows where to round up some coins rather quickly, maybe the newbie that you're dealing with doesn't. And if you ARE an experienced player, why in the hell are you looting lowbies anyway? YOU know where to get coins too.

Mmm, if I went to a new mud and there was enough pk that every time I created there were people killing me I would be hooked.

You're one of the kind who plays to "win."

PK has nothing to do with my complaint, however. Stealing from lowbies and making advancement and other mechanical functions more difficult for them due to their lack of monetary resources is.

If I played games to win I wouldn't be wasting my time with a roleplay mud that had 30 people playing on average and resurrecting dead cabals from inactive leadership, now would I?

Anyways, as I have said before - owning newbies is different from owning lowbies. I treat some GM's like newbies and some amateurs like everyone else, it depends on how experienced people are with SK not their level.

How can you know if the first thing you do to them is to steal from them?

I'm talking about 2 separate occasions today:

1. Jinjan
- enter room
- look lowbie
- say "[REDACTED]"
- backstab
- fail to take quiver fast enough
- backstab again
- steal quiver
- leave

2. dark-skinned male half-elf
- enter room
- look lowbie
- steal coins
- tell lowbie to keep their coins in their quiver
- smile and wave
- leave

I would call #2 pretty acceptable. It's a good lesson, and money isn't so important even to lowbies that it matters. I still wouldn't steal from a lowbie, but whatever.

Mugging/killing is pretty lame. But oh well. Jinjan's a fiesty guy.

Partly why the mud is dying so quickly. The players on this mud reflects how popular the mud is. It's best to just find something better to do. The days of this mud has come to a halt.

I will say again, if what you say is true. Why are you playing?

First off I'd like to point out you're lowbie had over 9 obsidian that Aneira gave to you and you didn't work hard for it. Rogues steal money. And don't assume I didn't know anything about you. I was following you around when you walked into the inn asking about where some temple of fear is. I mugged you outta RP. I'm a chaos follower I don't wanna see tyrants ammassing power and further more foriegners who come in Teron barely able to speak the language are asking to get mugged. Mugging someone for their wealth is a perfectly acceptable form of stealing from an RP stand point. The steal command is more of a pick pocket and knocking someone out and taking their stuff is more of a jacking. If your char has a problem with it get revenge on me. You're trying to follow Algorab right? Well stop talking about it OOC and handle it IC it should be a good RP and not something to get oocly mad about because you lost your money and now its inconvenient for you to go get more. Honestly this isn't something to put on the forums. And off subject. Are you seriously playing another gnome priest?

My lowbie didn't have 9 obsidian out in the open where you could see it.

You jacked a [REDACTED] quiver off a novice not having ANY idea what was in it.

THEN, when I sent you tells about it, you ignored me.

wtg!!!!
