One thing I never got was why Judges automatically know the name of anyone who commited a crime. I understand that it is necessary for law NPCs to recognize criminals who are disguised/polymorphed, but I think they should only be able to know their adjective/description, not their name. At least that makes better sense to me.
For example: A dastardly male human has committed the following crimes: murder, theft, etc. etc.. (list the desc as well), and that should be all.
Perhaps make it so that in order to figure out the name, a tribunal member has to identify the person, or something of that nature. But it seems silly to me the way it is. Any thoughts?

Perhaps it should only display their name if you have them greeted?

If a person who has been greeted by the criminal reports the crime, then yes. However, I can see that having a problem when they haven't greeted you, but you still know who it was.

This always bothered me too.

Wanted posters don't go off of the greet system because that's not how they're written up.

People that gain notoriety end up having their name everywhere.

That's great - except you haven't greeted the judge or the local law enforcement.

In fact, if you haven't told anyone your name how would you expect the judge to know who you are?

I could understand a characters description going up, but not their name unless a PLAYER links the outlaw listing with that particular player.

Very little of the law system makes sense if you think it's all centered in the judge's offices. Like, how does a judge automatically know a scout logs in, if said scout is camo'd?

However, when you move it to outriders, scouts, and bounty hunters, communicating with the judge's offices...If you absolutely need a reason, ICly, for the posters to have an outlaw's name it's this: It was discovered by discrete questioning done by covert agents of the law enforcement agency in question. Just like an outlawed character that logs in is discovered to be present in Pyrathia or its connecting planes; They get spotted by a tribunal's outriders.

Happy now? Leave it alone. It doesn't need changed. There are more important issues to spend coding time on than this.
