This class and this race need urgently a slight tweak imho. I will admit that I might be too subjective regarding the centaurs since I am playing one at the moment, so do forgive me if I am.

Rogues:
What is the reason to play one anyhow the way they are these days?
They can steal things and pick locks, big deal. Charmies do those as well.
Can they tank decently? Hardly. Can they infict damage? Yeah, perhaps to a sleeping, unprepared newbie mage. Other than that, they are utterly useless and I would never play one as a main character. Perhaps just as an alt for fun, but that's about that.

Centaurs:
No matter how much I love them for purely RP reasons (hooves and tails for the win), they are useless for most classes, and certainly not a first choice for others. They have no other bonus but their large size, inate endurance and kick skill for very early leveling. Yet, they are loaded with a ton of weaknesses. They are VERY vulnerable to fire, more than any other race in SKs. They can not wear any leg/foot armor and aim low can simply rape them. They are vulnerable to any energy type attack, and with all those new weapons loaded in the game, it's a piece of cake to kill one. Only classes that can somehow take advantage of a centaur and somewhat cover part of their vulnerabilities would be priest, warlock and barbarian. For whichever of these classes, anyone can figure why -save for RP reasons- a centaur would never be a first choice.

What are your thoughts on these?

Dude, juggs, I disagree.

Rogues, beside the points you gave them, get -scrolls-.

They charm person and control undead.

They can give buffs, or annihalate with tripple harms or worse.

Rogues are -VERY- -VERY- powerfull if you know how to properly use them. VERY!

Centaurs get high wisdom and constitution. The highest out of any non-MC race. It can definatly be used to the advantage if you know the *cough* warlocks and shamans *cough* class to use them towards.

I be drunken! Late.

Gnomes get a lot more wisdom than centaurs and many other races get more constitution than them. You don't even want to compare them to griffons.

Gnomes get how much WIS + how much CON?

Griffons get how much WIS + how much CON?

Centaurs ...get more.

Just saying they have the most potential for elementals and voodoo, besides dwarves and non MC chars.

Not to mention resistance to blunt makes centaurs very easy to level.

Rogues are still bad [REDACTED]. You just have to know how to work them to make them bad [REDACTED].

Juggs, get off the pot.

I don't get the deal with rogues? They are absolutely powerful and versatile. Not one of those classes you get success with without wits though.
Centaurs on the otherhand do need something, I do think... not certain what though? Maybe some "nature bond" skill with some temporary benefits when used? Dunno...

Centaur need to lose 1 wis, 1 str and gain 2 dex.

Giants need to lose 2 dex and gain 2 wis.

Yes, these actual needs that aren't debatable to balance the game.

Elsewise, you're going to just see spam giants as warriors. They need to take the dex hit for being too big.

I think that centaurs definately need some sort of buff to make them attractive again. I've no stats, but I'm willing to bet they're the most underplayed race atm.

Rogues on the other hand, I've no issue with. They seem to be very productive in decent hands and can be quite lethal, especially in group PKs.

Rogues, just like bards are the kind of player that will ensure the victory (not as much as bards) in group fights.
But.

Why would one play a rogue (you can surely land some nice hits on that third row mage) when a scout/merc will kill him in 2 rounds via ranged combat.
Why bother hamstringing (never thought I would use that word) when you can skirmish your opponent.

Scrolls are indeed nice, and some are not even hard to find, still, why are there only 2 rogues that I know of in this current pbase. Everyone says that they are deadly in the right hands, but looking at the current class distribution I would say that these 'right' hands are on vacation.

Centaurs. They do NOT make a good shaman like one said, try fighting more than one opponents with Spirit aura, sanctuary and armor. And wave goodbye to your lost buffs after the first bash is landed.

Again I will use the same argument, you all claim that they are juuuust fine in the right hands. Who has this magical pair of hands though and why does he not play?

just my two cents (euro cents that is)

Okay Morovik, I will play roll a shaman centaur and a Rogue and show you just how deadly they can be *sigh*. Must you challenge my leet PK skills all the time!

DISCLAIMER: Worts is full of crap and the only place he is likely to be 'leet' is in newbie school.
